FAQ
What are panzerotti?
A panzerotto is essentially a small fried calzone — dough folded around a filling and fried until crisp on the outside and soft and steamy inside. They’re an Italian classic and a big part of what we do at Knuckles. Ours change with the menu, with different fillings depending on the season and whatever we’re excited about at the moment.
How can I reserve for more than 8 people?
For groups of more than 8, please get in touch with us directly through the Contact Us section of our website. We’ll get back to you with availability and all the details for larger groups.
Is there a time limit on my reservation?
Usually, yes. Reservations for 2 to 4 guests are booked for 2 hours, while larger groups have 2.5 hours.
Reservations at 8:30 PM or later have no time limit, so settle in and stay awhile.
Should I make a reservation or just walk in?
We always recommend making a reservation. Knuckles is a small restaurant and we tend to book up quickly, especially on busier evenings.
We don’t intentionally hold tables for walk-ins, but if we have room when you arrive, we’ll always be happy to have you.
Are there vegetarian options?
Absolutely. There are always several vegetarian dishes on the menu and plenty of options to put together a full meal.
Are there vegan options?
Yes, but options can be limited. There’s usually a way for us to put something together or adapt certain dishes, but our menu isn’t designed specifically around vegan dining, so you may have fewer choices.
If you’re vegan, let us know and we’ll do our best to take care of you.
What kind of food does Knuckles serve?
Italian at heart, but not particularly traditional.
Our cooking is influenced by Italian food, French cuisine and North American classics. The menu is small, seasonal and changes with what’s available, what we’re inspired by and, frankly, whatever we feel like eating.
We like good ingredients, comforting food and not taking ourselves too seriously.
How many plates should we order?
Our menu is made for sharing. For two people, a few plates and a panzerotto is usually a great place to start.
There’s no need to figure out your entire meal right away — order a few things, share everything, and add more as you go. And if you’re not sure, just ask us. We’ll happily guide you.
